Lion Music are pleased to announce the release of the second album from progressive metallers TWINSPIRITS. The new album “The Forbidden City” is set for release on September 11th 2009 and builds upon the sound heard on the bands 2007 debut “The Music That Will Heal The World” (Lion Music). “The Forbidden City” takes the progressive metal approach of the debut and adds more musical depth, more memorable songs along with the ever present sublime musicianship featuring some of the genres best musicians. A key feature of the new album is the band’s new Swedish vocalist Göran Nyström, whose stunning range, power and projection has propelled the bands trademark mix of technical progressive metal with strong song structures and melodic elements onto a higher level.

In these shows Twinspirits will play songs from their new album "The Forbidden City", lately released by Lion Music.
Every show will be co-headlined by Ytsejam Kr, an impressive combo that held the "Official Dream Theater Tribute Band" title from November 25th 2006 until December 31st 2007.
But there's even more! Every gig will host a cool prog-metal local band as an opening act, for the best progressive experience ever!
Just to mention some: for all the guitar freaks out there, Daniele Gottardo (Guitar Idol UK finalist 2008/2009, Steve Vai Guitar Idol Award winner 2009) will be the ice-breaker in both Milan and Padova, unveiling some fine tunes from his forthcoming solo release "Frenzy of Ecstasy" (soon to be released by Favored Nations).
Chapter Zero will warm up the crowd in Bologna (Ke Me Meo club) with their complex-yet-melodic style.

January 15th 2010 - Italy in Progress 2009 Tour Report
Twinspirits extend a sincere thanks to all fans that attended their performances during the "ITALY IN PROGRESS 2009" tour. Six shows took place in BOLOGNA, PADOVA, VERONA, PERUGIA, CASERTA and ROME from December 4th 2009 to December 13th 2009. The shows which saw the Italian prog metallers join forces with Ytsejam KR (Italian Dream Theatre tribute band) and some great local bands of each city according to the band "went great with a really positive and enthusiastic public response!". Twinspirits performed their current album "The Forbidden City" almost in its entirety throughout the tour. Due to the success of the event, more shows are going to be scheduled in 2010 in other cities all around Italy... some raw live footage can be viewed below.

NEW ALBUM MIXING SESSION
Italian bass player and composer Alberto Rigoni, back from "Italy in Progress Tour 2010" with progrock band TwinSpirits, is now going to mix his new studio album at Majestic Studio (VE, Italy). The project features also great guests such as Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree), John Macaluso (Ark, Malmsteen, Labrie), Michael Manring, Yves Carbonne and many others.
